I never liked the franchise, even as a little girl, but this new incarnation is just so fun, the character designs are cute, even if they do rely on templates for the root design a bit much, and the characters have something the magical ponies have always been missing; PERSONALITY! It actually got me back into cartoons recently, and I think I'll keep watching it. (though I'll never admit to it publicly)
